Music From The Varsian Kingdom

Welcome to our music page! Our selections are quite small at the moment but in time we hope to be adding more music. For now we hope you enjoy what is available!

A Voice From The Past

The poem, A Voice from the Past, was written in the year 2383 AC. and is attributed to Varsia's sixth specter, Leila. The poem, oddly enough, was contributed to the Chronicles of Continuity at some point after Leila's death. Yet, it is said by the caretakers who watch over the Chronicle building, that Leila delivered the piece personally. Some time later a centaur named Raziyev found the poem and put it to music. Raziyev and his musical comrades performed the song in various settings as they traveled through the Traylin Realm. At one point the group, going by the name Hooves of Thunder, even performed the song at the great tavern of Deanemis.

Summer's Song

This song was written in 2379 by Lady Goldwing on her first expedition to find the Hall of Fallen

Heores. As she sat beneath the willow trees where the Hatari river runs out of the northern Evilexose mountain range, she composed these words, later putting music to match. Five years later Goldwing set out on yet another expedition to find the hall. The small adventure, however, would spill over into a grand tale of adventure. This story, told in Book two of the Varsian Kingdom Series: The Night whisperer and the Silver Trixter, is available in part at...

Shadow of the Night

For over 300 years a strange figure has been sighted roaming the lands near one of the six branches of the Sarangedeeze river. Many, including the elf maiden, Lady Elawen, have sent expeditions to discover the mystery behind this strange figure. Some say it is a haunted soul, while others claim it is Galen, Varsia's first specter. Though the accounts of the sightings differ, all agree on one thing... this strange shadowy figure is a messenger. What the message may be, that remains a mystery!

Pixie's Prattle

Pixy and Leprechauns, the little people of the Varsian Kingdom, are known for their love of nature, music, and dance. The men, the Leprechauns, mostly play music, while the women, Pixy, dance. This musical arrangement was compiled by a man named Bim Bitibinksky, and the sheet music was entered into the Chronicles of Continuity in the year 2332 AC.

Hear the Wind is Calling

Hear the Wind is Calling, was a poetic piece written by the Human Aide during the Great Scarring of the Earth. In later years a musical Naiad known as "Rains-Falling" put this piece to music. The piece soon became a popular song of bards and the sheet music was entered into the Chronicles of Continuity in the year 2389 AC.

Mystic Land of Old

This poem was written by the Centaur Laries and describes an ancient Centaur legend her grandmother used to tell her of the seven kings of old. It is said the seven Centaur kings of this poem were the most powerful kings the race had ever seen. During the great scarring of the earth, however, Azrael turned them to stone when they refused to fully abandon the ways of their Creator. It is said that one day these seven kings will be released from their prison of stone and return to rule the Centaurs, ushering in a golden age of peace and prosperity.

In later years the musical Naiad, Rains-Falling, took this poem and set it to music after the success of her first piece, "Hear the Wind is Calling." The Centaur leadership, upon hearing the song, were so well pleased with the arrangement they invited Rains-Falling to perform the piece for their leaders and common folk alike.
